Animal allergy
They are a part of your life but it is nonetheless true that your household pets are the most common source of allergic reactions.
It is commonly found that most people are allergic to pets. For those who have inherited hypersensitivity (called atopy), any sort of exposure to proteins in an animal's saliva, or the animals dander (flakes of skin), or urine can cause an allergic reaction to them.
Allergy symptoms develop when these proteins are carried through the air and come in contact with the lining of the respiratory tract.
Even dander on a pet owners clothing can cause severe allergic response in a person with a severe animal allergy.
