It is the inflammation of the blood vessels that is arteries and veins. It occurs due to the migration and damage of the leukocytes. Inflammation of the veins is called phlebitis and inflammation of the arteries is called arteritis. It may involve a single tissue or many tissues or organs of the body. It is characterised by the inflammation of the lining of the blood vessels causing narrowing and blockage of the blood vessels. It is mainly due to a
disturbance in the immune system of the body. It may or may not be associated with other disorder.
