Myths And Facts : Clear Concept On Cardiology

Myth: Heart diseases begin in adulthood.



Fact: Heart diseases do not occur suddenly. It is not a problem of the middle and old-aged people. Obesity and diabetes in early stage of life can lead to fat deposits in the major arteries while a person is in his/her teens. A proper sensible diet can help avoid the onset of cardiac diseases in the early stage of life.

Myth: Normal blood pressure, cholesterol levels and weight do not cause any heart disease.



Fact: It is good to have normal blood pressure levels with your weight in control. But, thin people who have low levels of cholesterol die because of heart diseases every day. It is important to quit smoking and drinking and practice regular exercise to maintain good health.
